Katy Gorniak is a Polish director and photographer based in London, known for her bold storytelling and expressive visual style. Whether crafting daring creative concepts or exploring deeply personal projects, her work is a celebration of freedom, diversity, individuality, and inclusivity.

Her love for photography began in childhood when her mum introduced her to disposable cameras at the age of six. Film photography has always been a part of her creative journey, and after recently returning to it, she’s completely fallen back in love. The grain, vintage tones, and nostalgic feel transport her to the past—something she’s always chasing in her work. While film holds a special place in her heart, she also shoots digitally, allowing her to explore different textures and techniques to bring her vision to life.

Katy thrives on creating editorials, collaborating with people, and forming genuine connections through her photography. She finds inspiration in experiences, travels, and the people she meets along the way, always seeking new perspectives to shape her work. Whether she’s telling deeply personal stories or crafting striking fashion and beauty editorials, her approach is both provocative and meaningful, balancing bold aesthetics with emotional depth. When creating raw and honest work, she keeps everything as authentic as possible, avoiding excessive retouching to preserve the true essence of her subjects.

Further refining her creative vision, she expanded her expertise with a specialised Creative Direction course at Vogue College, honing her skills in conceptual storytelling, brand identity, and innovative visual strategies.

For Katy, photography is more than just an image - it’s a language without limits, a way to express and connect, challenge and captivate.
