ONE LOVE, my vision for this project was to explore love in its purest, most authentic form. The theme, ONE LOVE, was born from a desire to celebrate connection, vulnerability, and togetherness, particularly within the context of queer love.
I conceptualised, directed, and shot this series on film, intentionally choosing a natural park setting to complement the raw, unfiltered emotions we aimed to capture. Nature served as a grounding element—symbolic of growth, freedom, and the organic beauty of love. The focus was on two women, their connection, and their story. I wanted to move beyond just visuals, so I asked them to write letters to each other before the shoot. These letters were deeply personal expressions of their love and what it meant to them—moments of joy, understanding, and vulnerability. These written words informed the atmosphere of the shoot, guiding poses and interactions to create imagery that felt honest and deeply human. Shooting on film was a deliberate choice; its grain and texture mirror the imperfection and authenticity of real life. The process of working with film also required a slower, more intentional approach, mirroring the patience and care inherent in love itself. This project is more than just a visual representation—it’s a narrative of connection, an invitation to see love without boundaries, labels, or pretence. For me as a Creative Director, it’s a reminder of the power of storytelling to break barriers and celebrate the universality of human connection.
